Unbound Brews Founder Jon Muth Awarded UCLA Anderson’s 2025 Larry Wolfen Entrepreneurial Spirit Fellowship
Unbound Brews founder, Jon Muth (FEMBA ’26), has been named a 2025 Larry Wolfen Entrepreneurial Spirit Fellow by the UCLA Anderson Price Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
Established in memory of alumnus Larry Wolfen (MBA ’93), The Wolfen Award provides a summer stipend to a select group of students to support the advancement of their entrepreneurial projects. Recipients are chosen based on demonstrated entrepreneurial promise and their potential to translate innovative concepts into viable businesses. Fellows join the Venture Accelerator at UCLA Anderson’s Summer Activate Program, gaining mentorship, industry insights, and networking opportunities to refine their product-market fit.
“Our program equips founders with the tools to commercialize their intellectual property and take their ideas to the next level,” says Trish Halamandaris (MBA ’92), Executive Director of the Venture Accelerator.
Excited for the summer ahead, Muth adds, “This fellowship accelerates our ability to innovate—deepening our commitment to the farmers and communities behind every bean.”
What’s Next for Unbound Brews

At the same time, their R&D team is refining their modular Coffee Cart, designed to bring craft coffee to any event with greater mobility and efficiency. Unbound Brews will also be hosting intimate gatherings at their patio—collaborating with local clubs and nonprofits to foster community & connection.
About Unbound Brews Coffee Company
Unbound Brews was founded in Los Angeles in 2025 by Jon Muth after bootstrapping the business as Jonny's Beanery for 12 months. What began as a solo roasting endeavor soon transformed into a spirited mission: to deliver exceptional coffee with everyday ease, while giving more back to the farmers who make it all possible. We now offer roasted-to-order whole bean coffee, small-batch craft cold brew, and are developing a frozen coffee capsule, designed to be dropped into a cup like an ice cube and simply combined with boiling water.
