Where we source our beans
Over the past year, we’ve sourced from more than 18 countries, each with a distinct story. From the rich, chocolatey notes of Central America to the vibrant, fruit-forward profiles of East Africa, every region brings its own personality to the cup—and we love celebrating those differences.
Did you know that coffee cherries grown at higher elevations often develop brighter, more complex flavors? Cooler temperatures slow the ripening process, allowing sugars to develop more fully, resulting in a more nuanced and layered cup. Just one of the many ways the land shapes the coffee you love.
At Unbound Brews, we focus on sourcing specialty coffee: high-quality beans that have been carefully grown, harvested, and processed to bring out the best flavors possible. Specialty coffee is graded on a 100-point scale and must score 80 or above to earn its title. That means it’s held to a high standard at every step, from farming to roasting to brewing, ensuring a clean, balanced, and expressive cup
Sourcing great coffee is about more than just finding good beans—it’s about relationships. We partner with green coffee importers who have built strong, long-term connections with farmers. These partnerships are based on trust, sustainability, and a shared commitment to quality. By working with those who prioritize ethical sourcing and research-driven practices, we aim to support a better coffee supply chain and create a positive impact for those at the heart of the journey who make the pick-to-sip journey possible.
