Brewing Change, One Step at a Time

At Unbound Brews, we believe that every small action has the potential to create ripples of progress. While we’re just getting started, our mission to uplift farmers, honor coffee’s heritage, and elevate the industry is woven into every decision we make. We’re taking thoughtful, intentional steps to make a positive impact—even if they’re small for now.

What we’re doing today:

  • We upcycle our burlap coffee bags to the California Climate Action Corps to plant green spaces in Los Angeles to improve air quality and offer community gardens to Angelenos
  • We compost all coffee grounds used in our brewing process and are currently innovating new products to use spent grounds (hint: finely ground coffee is a good exfoliator)
  • We donate 10% profits from all coffee cart sales to the REI Cooperative Action Fund, a group of non-profits working to improve people’s health and well-being through time spent outside. Jon’s favorite is Ciclavia, a non-profit offering closed down streets to the community and promoting bike safety in Los Angeles

Grow with us to contribute to our vision for tomorrow:

  • Farmer Impact Fund: Taking inspiration from how individuals in today’s society accumulate wealth, we accept that paying beyond fair trade pricing and supporting sustainability initiatives is not sufficient for us to ensure our farming partners create long-lasting, generational wealth. As a venture funded company, we have the obligation to offer the opportunity to our partners to participate in ownership in the company, and that’s why we will make them a primary shareholder in Unbound Brews.

For us, going unbound isn’t just about exploration and curiosity—it’s about leaving the coffee world better than we found it.
